This week’s POTW is our kids horse pose!
Horse pose is great for full-body stretching, energizing and rejuvenating the nervous system and relieving stress.
How to:
Step 1: Begin in Tabletop pose, on hands and knees. Look down at your hands and on an exhale tuck your toes under and begin to slowly extend the legs.
Step 2: Life the hips high towards the ceiling, pressing the top of the thighs towards the back of the room.
Step 3: On an inhale, extend your right leg up high and back, keeping the hips level and right foot flexed with toes pointing towards the ground.
Step 4: Slowly lower the extended leg on an exhale, walk out the legs in downward dog, then repeat on the other side.20
